Why meaning matters when beating burnout 

Preventing burnout is hugely topical and often focusses on the “usual suspects” like managing workload, setting boundaries and building resilience. But what if there is another side to this conversation?

For those of us working in Learning & Development, our work can be demanding, but it can also be incredibly energising.

Helping someone have a breakthrough, seeing a leader grow, learning something new or knowing that our work has made a genuine difference can give us a powerful sense of purpose and connection – and this can be instrumental in preventing burnout.

This informal session explores how we might consciously create more of these moments in our working lives by paying attention to the work that gives us energy and finding small ways to do more of it.
