This session throws open the doors to the exciting world of collaborative design, where we'll wrestle with the power of collaboration and co-design. Our open discussion will dissect both approaches, uncovering how they can transform the way you design learning experiences.

Together, we'll explore how working collaboratively fuels the exchange of ideas, injects diverse perspectives, and helps you construct a shared vision for your learners. But is collaboration enough? Buckle up as we move on to explore co-design, a powerhouse approach that takes collaboration to the next level. Discover how co-design empowers your stakeholders to become active co-creators, shaping learning experiences from the ground up. We'll break down the strengths of each approach, helping you identify when collaboration shines and when co-design unlocks true innovation. Our discussion will equip you to better identify the ideal approach for your own projects and introduce you to some strategies to harness the power of both collaboration and co-design that craft impact learning experiences that resonate with your audience.

Ready to unleash the full spectrum of collaborative design? Join us and let's transform learning design together!

Competency Framework: Instructional Design, Adult Learning Principles

Speaker: Cathy Gillespie

Cathy has come from a scientific background, through teaching, and is now firmly embedded in helping others to apply quality learning design to learning content. In building the business, Cathy has taken Like-Minded through the B Corp Certification process to become the first organisation in New Zealand of its kind to achieve certification. It shows that they run the business ethically and sustainably, while balancing purpose with profit. With at least 25 years' experience in the learning and development space, she has seen many changes in how organisations develop and manage their learning. Now that face-to-face opportunities are reduced, thanks to the pandemic, she is helping organisations alter the balance of outsourcing with growing internal capability, helps them avoid known pitfalls, and trains learning leaders and their staff to rise to the new challenges. She's excited to share her thinking on what it takes to create a cohesive and purpose driven team, where the quality of the output is the key focus.
