In order to join, all potential members must meet the following criteria:
- Agree to abide by the NZATD Rules
- Agree to abide by the Professional Code of Conduct
- Pay the membership fee in full at time of joining.

 Individual MemberThis membership is for you if you are working in the field of or have an interest in workplace learning, performance, training, or development, and you're looking to take advantage of the benefits of belonging to your industry organisation. All membership benefits are included. Membership fee$265 +GST per year |
Group MemberGroup membership applies when a group people from the same organisation apply for individual membership in any given year. Each person receives full individual membership benefits. Membership feeGroup 1 - three to four people Each person is eligible for a 10% discount on the individual membership fee. Group 2 - five or more people Each person is eligible for a 20% discount on the individual membership fee. Group membership conditions If a group member leaves the company, membership can be transferred to another person. Discounts to existing members do not apply until renewal after the fifth or subsequent employee of an organisation has become a member. The Group membership rate applies to the fifth person immediately. Five new applicants may join at the same time and receive the discount immediately. A Group is defined as being employed in a full or part time capacity by a registered company, partnership, charity, or not-for-profit organisation. The Group rate does not apply to informal business or personal relationships, such as a group of sole traders who do not have a legal entity. |
Student MemberThis membership is for you if you have an interest in workplace learning, performance, training, or development and are currently studying full-time. This membership is limited to two years. You must be able to provide a valid student ID card and must not be in full-time paid employment. All membership benefits are included. Membership fee$65 +GST per year |
Retired MemberThis membership is for you if you have held an individual membership and have retired from active professional or vocational employment. All membership benefits are included. Membership fee$75 +GST per year
