Take a little space on a Friday afternoon to talk technical with your fellow NZATD members. Show Your Work is a relaxed, member-led session designed to explore practical questions, challenge assumptions, and share insights from the field of training and development.

️ Session Agenda

• Introductions (5–10 mins): Meet and greet fellow members.

• Focus Topic (20 mins):  Sticky Learning & The Art of Constructive Feedback

  This session will be led by Kath Cherrie.  Kath has recently discovered and fallen in love with the term "Sticky Learning" and the powerful instructional design strategies that sit under it. She is currently applying these concepts to her work as a Toastmaster, where all members must now deliver short educational speeches on specific topics. Rather than simply talking at an audience, Kath is integrating actionable learning strategies into her material.

  The Session:  Kath is preparing a 10-minute speech called "Sticky Learning" and is keen to get constructive feedback from fellow learning professionals before presenting it to her club. 

  This is your opportunity to provide input and refine your own feedback skills. We will use the structured approach Kath employs in her Toastmasters meetings, creating a safe space for collaborative learning and growth. Join us to help shape a presentation that truly sticks!
  
  

• Open Floor (30 mins): Bring your own questions, ideas, or examples. Let’s learn from each other.

• Farewells (5 mins): Wrap-up and next steps.

• Members can register for this event by logging in using their member login details.

Cancellations and Attendance:

• Please give 48 hours notice of cancellation.
• Once registered, you will be expected to pay regardless of attendance.
• Substitutions permitted if transferred to someone holding the same
• ticket type e.g. member. Non-members are not permitted to attend in place of a member.
