Get together with fellow L&D professionals to explore the practical realities of figuring out what to do when designing learning.

How do we determine what methods or approaches to adopt, and when should we change them?

Roydon will pose some fertile questions and insights, along with activities that explore how the Cynefin Framework (Dave Snowden) can inform our work as L&D professionals.

Focused on the NZATD Core Competencies / Pokapu of Adult Learning Principles and Learning and Development Practice the session will look at:

  • How context impacts learning design.
  • Examples of how adult learning principles are applied in practice.
How learning objectives are supported by specific interventions.
