Student membership is open to anyone who has an interest in workplace learning, performance, training, and development that is currently studying full-time.

Application criteria:

To join as a student member, you must meet the following criteria:

• Agree to abide by NZATD Rules
• Agree to our Professional Code of Conduct
• Pay the subscription fee in full
• Present a valid student card
• Must not be in full-time paid employment

Membership fee: $65 + GST per year

Note:  Membership is limited to two years.

Holding individual, student, or group membership of NZATD provides you with options to be formally recognised within your field of practice through our professional membership pathway.

Options include:

• Professional (MNZATD): To recognise your skill and expertise in the field
• Fellowship (FNZATD): To recognise your ongoing professional contribution to Learning and Development
• Life (LNZATD): To recognise your ongoing contribution to NZATD

Membership benefits:

• All standard benefits offered with individual, student, and group membership
• Nominal after your name of MNZATD for Professional members, FNZATD for Fellowship, or the designated nominal dependant of the type of life membership provided

Application criteria:

• Each membership pathway has specific qualification criteria and application process including being a paid member of NZATD

Individual Member

Individual membership is open to anyone who has an interest in workplace learning, performance, training, and development.

To join as an individual member, you must meet the following criteria:

• Agree to abide by NZATD Rules
• Agree to our Professional Code of Conduct
• Pay the subscription fee in full

Membership fee:  $304.75 per year

Student Member

Student membership is open to anyone who has an interest in workplace learning, performance, training, and development that is currently studying full-time.

Application criteria:

To join as a student member, you must meet the following criteria:

• Agree to abide by NZATD Rules
• Agree to our Professional Code of Conduct
• Pay the subscription fee in full
• Present a valid student card
• Must not be in full-time paid employment

Membership fee: $74.75 per year

Note:  Membership is limited to two years.

Group Member

Group NZATD membership applies where a group of five or more people apply for individual NZATD membership with NZATD in any given year. Each person is eligible for a 20% discount on the individual NZATD membership rate.

Application criteria:

To join as a group member, you must meet the following criteria:

• Agree to abide by NZATD Rules
• Agree to our Professional Code of Conduct
• Pay the subscription fee in full
• Employed in full or part time capacity by a registered company, partnership, charity or not-for-profit organisation

Group Membership Discount: 20%

Note:  Please note that group membership is non-refundable.  If a group member leaves the company, membership can be transferred to another person. Fees listed are payable on joining.

Discounts to existing members do not apply until renewal after the fifth or subsequent employee of an organisation has become a member. The Group membership rate applies to the fifth person immediately. Five new applicants may join at the same time and receive the discount immediately. A Group is defined as being employed in a full or part time capacity by a registered company, partnership, charity, or not-for-profit organisation. The Group rate does not apply to informal business or personal relationships, such as a group of sole traders who do not have a legal entity.

Professional Member
