“Blended Learning Initiative” Award


NZATD has introduced this award, in association with the NZATD Education Trust, to recognise excellence in the design and implementation of blended learning solutions. The key focus of the award is to find examples of best practice, where the learning programme is aptly suited to the environment in which is delivered in and is an integral part of meeting organisational outcomes.

Application Criteria

The winning entry will:

  • Include at least three learning interventions such as (but not limited to) eLearning, face-to-face, OTJ, informal/social learning, coaching, games, support resources (QRGs) and/or forums/blogs
  • Show that accessibility has been built into the design from the beginning
  • Demonstrate application of the NZATD Competency Framework, Core Competencies (Adult Learning Principles and Learning and Development Practice)
  • Demonstrate high skills in the application of at least two NZATD Competency Framework Specialist Competencies (Instructional Design, Assessment, On-the-Job Training, Evaluation, eLearning, Facilitation, Informal/Social Learning)
